I am a teacher and mother with over ten years experience in tutoring math and science. Originally from the Bahamas, I currently live near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I received a B.S. in biology from Florida International University. As a tutor, I hope to leave students with the desire to seek out knowledge, not just to study enough to pass one test. To me, that is the greatest gift that a teacher can give. My experience as a mother has also helped in my tutoring abilities, as I home-schooled my youngest son. I was able to instill in him a curiosity and drive to learn and was able to feed this knowledge through daily activities and lessons. I have also taught in classroom settings both here in Florida as well as in the Bahamas. My strengths are in math and science, both of which I have taught at the high school and middle school levels.When I'm not tutoring I greatly enjoy traveling. I've been to many states across the U.S. and countries across the world. I hope to keep adding to my passport with more fascinating countries.
